Students need to have the opportunity to learn computer science. It supports logic, problem-solving skills, and creativity. There are wonderful, free digital tools, apps and programs that are available to help librarians, educators and parents support our students in developing these skills. And by starting young, they will have a foundation for success in 21st-century career paths.

In this presentation, Shannon McClintock Miller will explain the importance of learning to code and how to work it into the classroom and library through various events, programs and digital tools and apps. You will walk away with lots of ideas to bring it to your school community and make it lots of fun along the day.
