Public Products: Making Student Learning Visible

Joanne Keim

Meeting Room 7/8

During this session, educators will learn how to plan for successful student product presentations. Public products bring authenticity to a PBL experience so they are one of the key project design elements for engaging and motivating students to learn. Educators will explore how to make student learning visible at a Gold Standard level by planning for student work to be made public through presentations to people beyond their classroom. Another aspect of Gold Standard Public Products includes planning for students to be able to publicly explain the reasoning behind choices they made, their inquiry process, how they worked, and what they learned.
