Educator and author Mary Cay Ricci will share her journey to Mindsets in the Classroom. Rooted in the research of Carol Dweck, Mary Cay will share the application of the research to the classroom and results of that application: A learning environment where all educators and students believe that with perseverance, resiliency and grit all students can grow and achieve. A place where students and teachers understand that mistakes are an important part of the learning process. An environment where students understand neural networking in the brain and with this knowledge, increase motivation. A growth mindset learning environment is a place where all students have equitable access to advanced learning opportunities.
