Nick Stamoulacatos

Nick has worked in urban education for 16 years and presently serves as the Director of Professional Development for the Syracuse City School District. Prior to becoming Director, Nick was the Supervisor of Social Studies for the SCSD and also previously taught Global History and Geography I, U.S. history, SUPA Sociology and Anthropology for ten years. Nick also served as a Peer Assistant and Review Consultant for the SCSD in which he specialized in observation and mentorship of teaching and learning. Nick presently serves on as a board member for the Central New York Council for Social Studies and is a reviewer on the Teacher Collaborative Council for the NYS Social Studies Toolkit Project. Nick provides various professional development workshops specializing in the Reading Like A Historian Method and Multicultural Education.
